Jonathan Taylor was ruled out extremely early after suffering an ankle injury. In his absence, the Colts leaned heavily on Zack Moss and Deon Jackson to fill in his role. Moss totaled 24 carries for 81 yards (3 carries inside the 10-yard line) while playing 67% of the snaps. He also ran a route on 38% of the dropbacks and earned a 63% opportunity share. Jackson carried the ball 13 times for 55 yards but also fumbled. Both RBs saw one target, but Jackson scored a receiving TD. With the Chargers and Colts up next, fantasy managers should be aggressive in pursuing Moss off waivers. The Colts' run-heavy approach against two bad run defenses bodes well for Moss to hang solid fantasy numbers. However, be aware that Moss and Jackson saw pretty similar usage (9 carries for Jackson, 11 carries for Moss) in the first half. Moss definitely benefited from the Colts' conservative approach in the second half and OT (13 carries).

Isaiah McKenzie Note

Isaiah McKenzie's role decreased with Cole Beasley added to the roster. He ran a route on just 63% of the dropbacks. He produced 2 catches for 24 yards on 5 targets. McKenzie can't be trusted in shallow formats with his fringy role. He saw 103 air yards and was unable to convert the usage into worthwhile production, which has been his MO for most of this season.
