NFL Network's James Palmer is reporting Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) is officially ruled out for Week 15. (Source: James Palmer on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: As a result of aggravating his ankle injury in last week's loss to the Chiefs, Cooper will miss Sunday night's game against the Cowboys. And although his absence will open the door for Michael Crabtree to draw the bulk of Derek Carr's targets, he remains a risky fantasy option as the Cowboys' defense has played well of late. While Crabtree is in the Flex conversation for Week 15, start him with tempered expectations.

Derek Carr completed 24-of-41 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Raiders' Week 14 loss to the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: Derek Carr struggled mightily in this road contest with the Chiefs. Carr's lone touchdown came when the game was out of reach. It is very disappointing that Carr couldn't produce in a what appeared to be a great match up. Carr's level of play has fallen off mightily since last year's breakout campaign. Even in another good match up against the Cowboys, Carr is not a starting caliber option in one QB leagues.

Jared Cook breaks out of slump

Mon, Dec 11th 1:30pm EST
By Matthew Fox

OAK

Jared Cook caught 5-of-6 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: Jared Cook finally made some noise after being a complete non-factor for three consecutive games. Cook has shown flashes of brilliance during the season but he has been extremely unreliable on a week to week basis. Cook will be a low floor, high upside tight end play in next week's game against the Chiefs. Cook burned them for 107 yards in their last meeting.

Cordarrelle Patterson caught three of six targets for just eight yards as the Raiders lost to the Chiefs on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Patterson has been dealing with a hip issue but looked healthy on Sunday. Unfortunately, he could not get any of his big-play abilities going and was held to less than three yards a catch. Patterson is not consistent enough to be trusted in fantasy.

Seth Roberts caught three passes on three targets for 24 yards as the Raiders lost to the Chiefs on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Roberts targets dropped on Sunday as Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper were back in the lineup. But Cooper reinjured his ankle and could miss Week 15 which could open up some opportunities for Roberts. But regardless, Roberts is not worth owning in anything but deep fantasy leagues.

Michael Crabtree caught seven passes on 13 targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: Crabtree saw more targets on Sunday after fellow wide receiver Amari Cooper went down with an injury. Unfortunately, Crabtree could not do much and only averaged 4.6 yards per target. Crabtree could see a heavy workload in Week 15 if Cooper misses the game with his ankle injury.

Oakland's defense yielded 268 scoreless yards to Alex Smith and was gashed on the ground for 165 yards and two scores in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Chiefs. NaVorro Bowman led the team with nine tackles, eight of those solo. Bruce Irvin led with two sacks. Collectively, the team recorded four TFL and seven QB hits. Karl Joseph had an interception. DE Mario Edwards, Jr. left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact: The Raiders defense has been decimated by injuries this year and that has prevented them from establishing an identity to build upon. They face Dak Prescott and the Cowboys next week.

Marshawn Lynch had seven carries for 61 yards and a touchdown along with one reception on two targets for three yards in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: Lynch was not utilized much because of game flow but was strong and effective when he did get the ball, as he had a healthy 8.7 YPC. He faces the Cowboys next week.

Johnny Holton caught 3-of-7 targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders Week 13 win over the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Holton had an opportunity for more targets on Sunday with Michael Crabtree out with a suspension and Amari Cooper dealing with a concussion. Expect Holton's targets to drop in Week 14 when Crabtree and Cooper come back.

Jalen Richard had one carry for four yards and one reception for five yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: With the team in Beast Mode, hard to see much increase in usage for Richard.

Category: Game Recaps

DeAndre Washington had six carries for 23 yards, 3.8 YPC, and three receptions on three targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over Denver.

Fantasy Impact: Washington and Jalen Richard share backup duty and thus their fantasy values are limited to most, except for deeper formats. His usage today was typical and note he had a team-best YPC against a pretty stout defense.

Giorgio Tavecchio converted all three extra point attempts and both field goal tries in the Raiders' Week 9 win over the Dolphins on Sunday Night Football.

Fantasy Impact: Tavecchio converted from 36 and 53 yards out, so he turned in a nice fantasy performance this week. The Oakland offense still has plenty of scoring power, and Tavecchio looks like a solid kicker in terms of accuracy, so continue to roll him out in fantasy. The Raiders face the Patriots next week in a game that has shootout potential.

EJ Manuel underwhelmed in the Raiders' Week 5 loss to the Ravens. He went 13-of-26 for 159 yards with one touchdown. He added two rushing attempts for 15 yards.

Fantasy Impact: It sounds like Derek Carr should be back next week, so Manuel's brief cameo as the Raiders' quarterback should be over. Even if Carr misses another game, Manuel isn't a fantasy option outside of two-QB leagues.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the Oakland Raiders have placed kicker Sebastian Janikowski (back) on the injured reserve list. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Although Janikowski was placed on IR Saturday, he won't need surgery to repair the herniated disc in his back. The Raiders expect Janikowski to be cleared and eligible to return to the team in eight weeks. In a corresponding move, Oakland activated Giorgio Tavecchio from the practice squad. Tavecchio will kick for the Raiders in Week 1.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed free agent quarterback Matt McGloin on Monday. (Source: Adam Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: McGloin, who spent the previous four seasons in Oakland, signed with the Eagles Monday. He'll likely enter the 2017 season third on Philadelphia's quarterback depth chart behind starter Carson Wentz and presumed primary backup Nick Foles.

The Buffalo Bills and free agent wide receiver Andre Holmes agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth $6.5 million. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Holmes, who spent the last four years in Oakland, signed with the Bills Saturday. Buried on the Raiders' wide receiver depth chart, Holmes caught 14 passes for 126 yards and three touchdowns last season while appearing in all 16 games. Since Buffalo's wideouts are all career role players outside of Sammy Watkins, Holmes has an outstanding chance to enter 2017 as one of the Bills' top three receivers.

The Minnesota Vikings and former Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray have agreed to a deal. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: The workhorse finished last season with 768 yards and 12 touchdowns on 195 attempts while catching 38 balls for 264 yards. Murray signing with the Vikings likely means that Adrian Petersons days in Minnesota are over. In regards to fantasy Murray should have similar value considering he should be more of a focal point in the offense rather than participating in a RBBC approach. Do not expect another 12 TD season but overall Murray can be considered a solid RB2 to begin the season.

Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith is expected to sign with the San Francisco 49ers when free agency begins. (Source: Mike Garagolo on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Malcolm Smith had a nice season in Oakland last year recording 103 tackles, one interception, and two forced fumbles. Smith should earn a starting nod in what seems to be a pretty decent 49ers team being put together. Smith would be a nice value add in any late IDP draft.

ESPN's Paul Gutierrez reports Oakland Raiders pass rusher Aldon Smith was allegedly involved in an incident over this past weekend in San Francisco. Gutierrez states that Smith was "mentioned" in a police report taken by the SFPD. However, the "exact details of the report were not made public" as of yet. "He is cooperating with SFPD and the reporting party," Officer Grace Gatpandan said via ESPN. "The report was taken over the weekend, and he was mentioned in the report." (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: Smith is serving a one-year suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. After filing for his reinstatement in the fall, Smith will be eligible to be reinstated in March as long as he remains out of trouble. However, this past weekend's incident could deter his reinstatement if he was involved in any wrongdoing. If the league grants him his reinstatement, Smith will join a Raiders defense that already employs a pair of prominent pass rushers that include the 2016-2017 Defensive Player of the Year, Khalil Mack, and Bruce Irvin.

Connor Cook completed 18 of his 45 pass attempts with one touchdown and three interceptions in Saturday's playoff loss to the Texans. He finished with a QB rating of 30.

Fantasy Impact: This was about what could be expected from a rookie, third-string QB making his first start against one of the best defenses in the league. Cook hamstrung the team's two top WRs, Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper, who combined for only four catches and less than 50 yards receiving.
