2016 In-season Fantasy Baseball Tools: Maintain Your Winning Edge

by Andy Hahn
Apr 6, 2016

Many of you are familiar with our in-season suite of tools, My Playbook. We just launched it for the 2016 fantasy baseball season and are working on continuously improving the experience for fantasy baseball enthusiasts such as yourself. Here are a few key improvements that we’ve rolled out this season:

A better way to view your teams

MLB 2016 Update 1

We’ve added a “My Team” section to the Dashboard for all imported teams (import your team now if you haven’t already), with quick access to your players’ VBR (Value Based Rank), lineup/probable pitcher status, opposing team and pitcher information, as well as projections. Projections can be viewed for the rest of the season as well as the next day/week (Premium only). You can also view accrued stats in various time windows.

It’s a great way to get your team overview, and with the ability for Premium users to import an unlimited number of fantasy baseball teams, you can get all the information you need in one location.

Daily and weekly projections

Our Premium users now have access to daily and weekly statistical projections, making it easier to make the right lineup decisions, pick up players for spot plays, and more.

Lineup Assistant improvements

We’ve been working hard to improve our Lineup Assistant, making it easier to see weekly statistical projections for optimal lineups. We’re looking to add support for daily leagues this season, so stay tuned.

DFS tools for premium users

MPB MLB 2016 Update DFS

As part of our in-season My Playbook Premium upgrade, you’ll also get access to our DFS Lineup Optimizers (with support for FanDuel, DraftKings, Yahoo, FantasyAces, and FanDraft). You can generate a consensus lineup, a custom lineup, or stacked lineup, and quickly swap players in and out based on recommendations and value plays.

Making it easier to get trade and waiver advice

We’ve streamlined the interfaces for our Trade Finder and Waiver Assistant, as well as made it easier for you to find information to help you make the right decision, such as better detail into starter/bench player values and improving the way we calculate outcomes for daily and weekly leagues.

Fantasy baseball on your mobile device

MPB MLB 2016 Updates Mobile App

This year we launched a full-featured mobile app for fantasy baseball. Currently available on iOS, users who upgrade to My Playbook Premium on the web get premium mobile access included (a $9.99 value). You can also pay for premium features via the mobile app only. It includes most of My Playbook’s core functionality, so you can get news, research and plan, and access our tools from anywhere.

Check out the FantasyPros Baseball app in the App Store.

One price for Premium

In previous years, we charged you based on the number of teams you imported. This year, we’re going with a single price ($24.99) to unlock all of our premium features and allow you to import an unlimited number of teams.

This gives you access to all My Playbook Premium features for the entire 2016 fantasy baseball season, including our Waiver Assistant, Lineup Assistant, Trade Finder & Analyzer, Research Assistant, DFS Tools, and more. We’ve made some improvements to some core My Playbook features this season to aid you on your path to fantasy baseball glory.

More improvements coming soon…

We’re working hard to improve existing tools for the remainder of the MLB season. If you have any features or enhancements you’d like to see, feel free to email us at

Thanks and best of luck this season.
