Washington and Chicago are the only two teams off tonight, which means we have a big 14-game schedule to attack. This slate is likely going to wind up as a tricky one to navigate, as a lot of teams could be resting players with the All-Star break on the horizon.
I will point out that I am writing this article early, so player news can and likely will change before roster lock. Because of this, I cannot stress enough the importance of being flexible as 7 PM ET approaches. With that disclaimer out of the way, let’s take a look at a tournament lineup for DraftKings.

Point Guard
Eric Bledsoe (PHO): $8,600 vs. LAL
There’s no discount in Bledsoe’s price, but with a juicy matchup against the Lakers awaiting, I don’t mind absorbing the price increase. He has legitimate 50 DKP upside every night, and this is a prime situation for him to produce a monster line.
- Russell Westbrook (OKC): $12,500 vs. NY
- Stephen Curry (GS): $9,600 vs. SAC
- Isaiah Thomas (BOS): $9,400 vs. PHI
- Kemba Walker (CHA): $7,600 @ TOR
- Jeff Teague (IND): $7,400 @ CLE
- George Hill (UTA): $5,800 vs. POR
Shooting Guard
Dion Waiters (MIA): $7,000 @ HOU
Waiters didn’t miss a beat in his return from injury, scoring 36 DKP on Monday night. The Heat get a boost in terms of pace tonight against the Rockets, and with a decent matchup on deck, I like Waiters to flirt with 40 DKP tonight.
Other Notables:
- DeMar DeRozan (TOR): $7,900 vs. CHA
- Will Barton (DEN): $7,300 vs. MIN (if Wilson Chandler out)
- Devin Booker (PHO): $7,200 vs. LAL
- Tim Hardaway Jr. (ATL): $6,000 @ LAC
- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): $5,000 vs. DAL
Small Forward
Aaron Gordon (ORL): $4,600 vs. SA
This is certainly not a good matchup for Gordon, but I’m hoping he returns to playing more from the four spot with Serge Ibaka gone, which should help his production. The opponent will likely lead owners to shy away, which is a risk I’m willing to take on at this price.
Other Notables:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): $10,800 @ BKN
- Kevin Durant (GS): $9,700 vs. SAC
- Andrew Wiggins (MIN): $7,900 @ DEN
- Gordon Hayward (UTA): $7,300 vs. POR
- P.J. Tucker (PHO): $5,000 vs. LAL
Power Forward
Draymond Green (GS): $7,500 vs. SAC
The Warriors were run out of the arena at their own game on Monday night, which led to several of the regulars watching the contest from the bench in the fourth quarter. I think Golden State will come out much more focused tonight, which is bad news for the Kings. Green draws a good individual matchup, and he’s a good way to get exposure to this team without breaking the bank.
Other Notables
- Blake Griffin (LAC): $9,500 vs. ATL
- Kristaps Porzingis (NY): $6,500 @ OKC
- LaMarcus Aldridge (SA): $6,300 @ ORL
- Nerlens Noel (PHI): $6,100 @ BOS
- Frank Kaminsky (CHA): $6,000 @ TOR
- Jon Leuer (DET): $4,600 vs. DAL
Center
Andre Drummond (DET): $7,600 vs. DAL
The Mavericks are the worst rebounding team in the league, and with Drummond’s price down, I think this is a prime spot to buy. His salary has dropped $1,000 over the last week, but he’s got 50 DKP upside on any given night. With a lot of the focus likely to be on the likes of DeMarcus Cousins, Nikola Jokic and others, this could be a spot where Drummond flies under the radar.
Other Notables
- DeMarcus Cousins (SAC): $11,300 @ SAC
- Nikola Jokic (DEN): $10,300 vs. MIN
- Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN): $10,200 @ DEN
- Hassan Whiteside (MIA): $8,500 @ HOU
- Al Horford (BOS): $6,800 vs. PHI
- Steven Adams (OKC): $5,900 vs. NY
Guard
Gary Harris (DEN): $4,900 vs. MIN
The Nuggets are likely to be thin tonight, and they could be even more short-handed if Emmanuel Mudiay and/or Wilson Chandler miss this game as well. Either way, I think Harris is an intriguing leverage play this evening, as a lot of owners will overlook him if Chandler plays, while they will likely flock to Will Barton if Chandler sits. The price is very favorable given the minutes Harris is probably going to play, and he has GPP-winning upside tonight.
Forward
Marvin Williams (CHA): $4,700 @ TOR
The interior is a spot that you can attack the Raptors defensively, and with Cody Zeller and Miles Plumlee already ruled out, Williams is a virtual lock to play 33-35 minutes tonight. I like going this route in tournaments, as it is a leverage play away from Frank Kaminsky (who is still a good play), while you get to save salary at much lower expected ownership levels.
Utility
T.J. McConnell (PHI): $5,100 @ BOS
This is a very good matchup for McConnell, who I feel is a bit underpriced given his recent stretch of play. The absence of Joel Embiid has opened up a lot of usage for several players, and McConnell is poised to continue his success tonight as a result.
