Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate with family and friends with fireworks and barbecues, we can also play some MLB DFS with games throughout the day and night. This DraftKings Lineup Advice column will focus on the seven-game evening slate which could provide some fireworks of its own.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. For reference throughout the season, be sure to bookmark our overview of MLB Park Factors and how to Use Weather to Your Advantage in MLB DFS. Pitchers
Rich Hill (LAD): $8,700 vs. PIT
It is another night where I would like to allocate more of my salary to bats, so I’m going to roster the two cheapest pitchers that I feel comfortable with and load up on bats. Hill is coming off his best outing of the season with 10 strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings against the Rockies (not at Coors) while allowing just one run. He gets another home start on Wednesday as a big favorite against the Pirates who have the seventh lowest wOBA (.288) and wRC+ (80) over the last 30 days against southpaws.
