Michael Saunders is off to a slow start for his new team in 2017, as he is hitting just .225 with zero home runs and eight strikeouts thus far.
Fantasy Impact:
Michael Saunders had a pretty solid 2016 in Toronto, hitting 24 home runs and scoring 70 runs alongside a .253 average and .338 on-base percentage. Many thought that moving to a hitter friendly ballpark in Philadelphia and a clear shot at regular playing time could make Saunders a valuable late pick in deeper leagues. There is certainly still time for Saunders to turn things around, but he is off to a slow start so far.
