Chris Davis leaves Monday's game with oblique strain

Chris Davis was removed from Monday's game against the White Sox with a right oblique strain. (Jon Meoli on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Davis flew out to deep right field with the bases loaded to end the top of the third inning and did not return to the field for the bottom of the inning. The fact that the team immediately announced that it was an oblique strain, and not merely side soreness, is not a good sign for Davis' ability to avoid the DL. Davis had struggled this season, but did have 14 home runs. If he misses time, Trey Mancini will likely see an uptick in playing time.
