Brandon Maurer notches 13th save of the season

Brandon Maurer recorded the final two outs of Wednesday's victory over the Cubs to record his 13th save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Brad Hand began the inning to face Anthony Rizzo, but Maurer was brought on to face Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber and protect the one-run lead. Maurer is the closer in San Diego, despite Brad Hand sneaking into the role briefly and Maurer's sporadic struggles and ugly season-long numbers (6.35 ERA). He'll continue to get save chances going forward unless he's dealt or his ineffectiveness forces Andy Green to remove him from the role.
