The Twins and Nelson Cruz have agreed to a one-year deal with a club option for 2020. The deal is worth $14 million and the option is worth $12 million with a $300,000 buyout. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Despite Cruz's advanced age, he continued to produce last season, hitting 37 home runs with 97 RBI. He'll DH for the Twins and although he'll play primarily in a pitcher's park, it's hardly a downgrade from Seattle. There are warning signs abound for Cruz, as he played in his fewest games since 2013 (when he was suspended) and saw most of his indicators decline. But he still seems capable of popping 40 balls over the wall, making him a fine mid-range pick despite his DH-only eligibility.
