Brandon Woodruff strikes out seven in win Friday

by Elliott Baas | Brewers Correspondent | Sat, May 4th 12:46am EDT

Brandon Woodruff allowed one run on six hits over five innings in the Brewers' 3-1 win over the Mets on Friday. He walked two and struck out seven while improving to 4-1.

Fantasy Impact:

This was the second straight start where Woodruff allowed just one run, and he has 13 strikeouts in ten innings over that stretch. He now has a 4.71 ERA on the year, but his 3.32 FIP suggests Woodruff has pitched much better than his results. He's worth an add after these two starts, just to see if Woodruff's performance can match his peripherals going forward. His next start comes Wednesday vs. Washington.
