Brandon Workman blows save but picks up the win

by John Aubin | Wed, Aug 14th 6:36am EDT

Brandon Workman was charged with the blown save after giving up one run on two hits with one strikeout during the ninth inning Tuesday at Cleveland, but he still earned the victory as the Red Sox won in 10 innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Workman has been having a good season out of the pen for the Sox. The veteran reliever is now 9-1 with a 2.00 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 74:32 K:BB over 54 innings. But he has only converted seven of 12 save chances and could lose his closer role but for now, he should still be owned.
