Jake McGee surrenders four runs on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Wed, May 5th 1:20am EDT

LHP Jake McGee allowed four runs on four hits with one strikeout over 2/3 of an inning in the Giants' 8-6 loss to the Rockies in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Fantasy Impact:

McGee entered in the bottom of the seventh inning against his former team to protect a 6-2 San Francisco lead. He recorded the first two outs with a single sandwiched between them before surrendering two more singles and a double. He exited the game with one out remaining the Giants clinging to a 6-5 lead. Camilo Doval would go on to blow the lead and take the loss via a Charlie Blackmon three-run homer. McGee has now given up seven runs (five earned) over his last 2 2/3 innings (three appearances). It should be noted that none of those runs were allowed in a save situation, though.
