Brandon Woodruff (7-5) was saddled with the loss Sunday against the White Sox. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out nine.

Woodruff's counterpart was Lance Lynn in this game, and Lynn was spectacular. Still, Woodruff put up a quality start and was just derailed by a few consecutive hits in the second inning (including a two-RBI single from Lynn). This season, Woodruff owns a 2.14 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and a 146:31 K:BB across 126 innings. He'll take on Atlanta next.
