Josh VanMeter collects three doubles in Friday's win

by Jon Mathisen | Yankees Correspondent | Sat, Jul 31st 10:18am EDT

Second baseman Josh VanMeter went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, a run scored, and a walk as the Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers 6-5 in extra-innings on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

VanMeter led off for Arizona and had a huge day at the plate. He put the D-Backs on the board in the bottom of the second with a two-run double before swatting another RBI double in the sixth inning and a third two-bagger in the eighth. The 26-year-old should get regular at-bats down the stretch and has some intriguing upside, especially out of the leadoff spot. He's slashing .206/.302/.376 with three home runs, 20 RBI, and a stolen base over 141 at-bats this year.
