Kevin Gausman (7-8) surrendered five runs on eight hits over 4 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Cardinals. He walked one and struck out six while taking the loss in the 6-1 defeat.
Fantasy Impact:
Gausman is off to a slow start following the All-Star break with a 7.45 ERA through two starts. The long ball has been the issue with three homers served up which already matches his total from his 17 starts prior to the break. No cause for concern yet as he will look to get back on track in his next start on Tuesday against the Rays in Tampa.
