Cal Quantrill allowed four runs on five hits in six innings in an 8-4 win over Detroit on Wednesday. Quantrill finished with a no-decision while striking out two and walking two.
Fantasy Impact:
Quantrill was on the hook for the loss until Cleveland's offense posted a six-run eighth inning. He finished with just six swinging strikes on 99 pitches. Thanks to a low 16.0% K rate, Quantrill has been a much better real-life pitcher than he is in fantasy. He will take a 9-5 record, 3.77 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 88 strikeouts over 136 innings into his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday against the Padres.
