Jimmy Herget imploded on the mound for the Angels Friday night, allowing two runs on two hits while also striking out one in 1/3 of an inning pitched, blowing the save chance and taking the loss in relief in a 4-3 defeat to the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Herget has now allowed runs in consecutive relief appearances after holding opponents scoreless in his first two of the season, allowing a .385 BABIP in that span. The 29-year-old will look to turn things around near the back end of a Los Angeles bullpen with more questions than answers under manager Phil Nevin so far this season.
