Justin Morneau out until at least All-Star break

Justin Morneau underwent elbow surgery in December which will keep him from swinging a bat again until at least June. He remains unsigned at this point after spending 2015 with the Rockies. (Star Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
Morneau had hoped to sign with a club that would allow him to rehab with a contract, but he wasn't able to find such a deal this winter. It's understandable, despite his impressive history, as Morneau has been dealing with injuries over the past several seasons and is now 34.
