Curtis Granderson's average hovering around the Mendoza line
by Dan Harris | Tue, May 17th 10:57am EDT
Curtis Granderson went 0-for-5 on Sunday against the Dodgers, dropping his batting average down to an even .200. His OPS is down to .694, well down from his career number of .813.
Fantasy Impact:
Granderson is a very streaky player, but his cold streaks have been far longer than his hot streaks so far this season. Granderson only has a .287 OBP, which is dreadful for a leadoff hitter. Unfortunately, if Granderson can't turn it around soon, Terry Collins could be forced to move Granderson down the order, which would limit his runs potential.
