Fernando Rodney notches 16th save

Fernando Rodney locked down his 16th save of the season on Thursday against the Reds, pitching a scoreless ninth inning while allowing only one baserunner. Rodney now has a 0.33 ERA and 0.90 WHIP.
Fantasy Impact:
The Padres are petitioning MLB to change the run Rodney allowed on Tuesday to an unearned run, to keep his 0.00 ERA intact. It's largely irrelevant to Rodney owners, who have enjoyed a wholly unexpected and fantastic season from the 39-year-old closer. Rodney's stuff looks great, and he should continue being a trusted closer until or unless he gets dealt to a contending team and finds himself in a set-up role.
