Fowler went 3-for-4 in the game. He tripled in the first inning, scoring the first run after that. Then he reached in the third, stole a base and came around to score the second run. In the fifth, he came up and drove Chris Coghlan in with a single to make it 3-0 Cubs. They would win 3-2.
Fantasy Impact:
Fowler was a key member of the Cubs' early exceptional winning pace and after his injury, the Cubs had some struggles in the win-loss category. His stats are not impressive, but you must take into account how much time he missed. The Cubs and Fowler's fantasy owners should be thrilled to have him back. It is no coincidence that the Cubs are starting to win more often again now that Fowler is back up to speed.
