Danny Salazar rocked for six runs in just four innings

by Gavin Tramps | Wed, Aug 24th 5:32am EDT

SP Danny Salazar was pulled after four innings, having given up six earned runs on eight hits with three walks and two strikeouts on Tuesday in the 9-1 loss to the A's.

Fantasy Impact:

The Indians insist that Danny Salazar is healthy but he has been destroyed in these first two starts since being activated from the DL after elbow inflammation. The right-hander was consistently throwing 94-96 mph but kept leaving it up in the zone. He has only pitched 11 innings over his last four starts whilst giving up 19 earned runs on 20 hits. Looking for positives, Indians' pitching coach Mickey Callaway suggested that having thrown 80 pitches, Salazar is now stretched out for his next start (vs. Derek Holland and the Rangers on Sunday).
