RHP Anthony DeSclafani draws two offenses next week that are mediocre against right-handed pitchers
Each week this column will scour the waiver wire and look for pitchers who are less than 30% owned and could be useful streamers for your fantasy team. All ownership percentages come from Yahoo.

Sunday, June 26
Anthony DeSclafani (CIN) vs. San Diego Padres
Ownership: 23%
DeSclafani is widely available in leagues due to a two-month stay on the DL to begin the season. He was a popular sleeper before the year started and flashed his potential in his last start. The right-hander allowed just two runs in seven innings of work to the Rangers in that outing.
He gets an extremely favorable matchup with a Padres’ offense that is one of the weakest in the league against right-handed pitching. DeSclafani has two starts on the schedule this week and is worth deploying for both.
Monday, June 27
Robbie Ray (ARI) vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Ownership: 9%
Ray has been extremely inconsistent this season, but he does have 93 strikeouts in 80.1 innings of work. He should find success against a Phillies’ offense that is one of the worst in the league against left-handed pitching. Philadelphia is ranked 29th in both wOBA and ISO against southpaws while carrying a 23.4% strikeout rate.
Tuesday, June 28
Albert Suarez (SF) vs. Oakland Athletics
Ownership: 2%
Suarez has been filling in for injured Matt Cain and has done a decent job thus far. The right-hander has a 3.68 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 36.2 innings of work on the year. He gets a favorable matchup with an A’s team that has not been effective against right-handed pitching and is missing Josh Reddick, one of their top lefty bats.
Wednesday, June 29
Junior Guerra (MIL) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Ownership: 11%
Guerra has been a pleasant surprise this season. The right-hander has posted a 3.67 ERA and 53 strikeouts over 61.1 innings of work.
He will take on a Dodgers’ lineup that has been extremely disappointing this season. A year after being one of the most feared offenses in the league against right-handed pitching, Los Angeles is ranked just 23rd in wOBA and 20th in ISO.
Thursday, June 30
Tom Koehler (MIA) @ Atlanta Braves
Ownership: 14%
Koehler is usually not a very trustworthy fantasy pitcher, but he has a top matchup and should be a worthwhile streaming option for Thursday. The Braves do not have a very good lineup as they rank just 28th in wOBA and 30th in ISO against right-handed pitching. Look for Koehler to have a solid outing in this one.
Friday, July 1
Anthony DeSclafani (CIN) @ Washington Nationals
Ownership: 23%
DeSclafani is worth streaming again for his Friday start. Many fantasy players avoid targeting Washington’s offense with pitching, but they are no better than league average against right-handers. DeSclafani is a solid, under the radar start for Friday.
Saturday, July 2
Daniel Mengden (OAK) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Ownership: 15%
Mengden has been impressive over his first three big league starts. The rookie has flashed some strikeout upside so far and has a 3.00 ERA over 18.0 innings of work. The Pirates have solid season-long stats against right-handed pitching, but they have been struggling mightily as of late.
