Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers (GB): $7,700 @ DET (18.1% Own%)
Rodgers is coming off of a 40.2 DKP outing against the Vikings, and with a decent matchup looming, owners figure to drive up Rodgers’ ownership levels. There are some things to like about this matchup, especially with the game deciding the NFC North, but I think you can look elsewhere this week to find some lower owned options.
Running Back
David Johnson (ARI): $9,800 @ LA (37.1% Own%)
Johnson continues to roll, and he’s coming off of a 34.6 DKP outing at Seattle last week. With his price slipping back below $10,000, I think you need to keep riding the train, especially with Johnson aiming to become the first player ever with 100 yards from scrimmage in all 16 games. This is a neutral matchup, with the Rams being even better recently, but Johnson has proved to be matchup-proof this season.
Wide Receiver
Jordy Nelson (GB): $8,100 @ DET (31.2% Own%)
Nelson is absolutely on fire right now, having scored at least 22 DKP in each of the last four games, including 39.4 DKP last week. If you’re going to plug Aaron Rodgers into your lineups, it might make sense to go ahead and play the stack. That being said, if you have the fortitude to fade Nelson, you could be gaining an edge on the field if you can identify a lower priced play, especially if Nelson doesn’t go wild.
Tight End
Travis Kelce (KC): $5,000 @ SD (21.4% Own %)
Kelce has six 100 yard performances since Week 8, while no other tight end has more than one over that span, yet he’s still not the highest priced option in Week 17. In regards to ownership, I expect levels to be elevated, as his price stayed at a ridiculous level after his 36 DKP last week.
Defense/Special Teams
Arizona Cardinals (ARI): $3,000 @ LA (29.9% Own%)
The Cardinals are my top value in terms of dollars per projected point, as they draw a phenomenal matchup on the road. Owners will likely chase after this soft salary, but as we saw last week with the Patriots, sometimes it’s OK when ownership levels are elevated. While neither team has much to play for, the Rams are nothing to be scared of on offense, and their implied total of just 17.25 points reflects this.
