Daily Pitcher Overview 8/3 (Start/Sit, Streamers, DFS)

We get 13 games to work with tonight which include three bonafide aces and a load of streamable pitchers. Today, I’ll tell you which is my top stream, along with my DFS picks for the day and all start/sit recommendations for season-long leagues. Sorry that I wasn’t able to get to writing this article yesterday–was recording the NFL podcast in the morning.

Ty Blach (SFG vs OAK)

The Giants’ rookie lefty does not have strikeout stuff, but he has been getting hitters out all season. His ERA sits at 3.88 in home games, and tonight, he draws an A’s lineup who is not impressive by any means. He won’t hurt your ratios and you should pick up 3 or 4 Ks to your weekly total with a decent shot at notching a win.

Top DFS Cash Game Option

Alex Wood (LAD @ ATL)

This is a big ballpark downgrade for Wood, but the Braves’ lineup isn’t particularly intimidating, so Vegas still has them at just 3.19 implied runs tonight. The main reason Wood is the safest starter, however, is that the Dodgers are a whopping -243 favorite in this away game. The quality start and win are nearly a guarantee, plus he is $1,500 cheaper than Corey Kluber.

Top DFS Tournament Option

Michael Wacha (STL @ MIL)

Wacha hasn’t been much of a strikeout pitcher thus far in his career, but he does have 37 in his previous 5 starts. Add that in with the Brewers’ staggering strikeout rates and you’ve got to love his chances at picking up 7+ Ks again. He also carries 5 quality starts in his previous 6 games so he is fairly safe tonight as well if you want to save some money in a cash game.
