Fantasy Football Injury Updates
DK Metcalf to undergo further testing in Seattle
DK Metcalf’s initial X-rays on his knee were negative but he will undergo further testing when the team returns to Seattle.
Fantasy Impact
Metcalf was carted off the field in Seattle’s win over the Chargers. The extent of the injury will not be known until Metcalf undergoes further testing. If Metcalf is forced to miss time, Tyler Lockett and Marquise Goodwin should see a bump in targets.
Daniel Bellinger to see an ophthalmologist Monday
Daniel Bellinger is set to meet with an ophthalmologist Monday after being carted off with an eye injury against Jacksonville.
Fantasy Impact
Bellinger finished the day with one reception for 13 yards before leaving with the eye injury. It appeared that Bellinger was poked in the eye and was clearly in a considerable amount of pain. Fantasy managers will have to await word on how much time Bellinger might miss due to the eye injury.
Breece Hall suspected to have suffered ACL tear
According to Rich Cimini of ESPN NFL Nation, RB Breece Hall is suspected of tearing his ACL during the Week 7 game against Denver.
Fantasy Impact
Hall left prematurely on Sunday, getting carted to the locker room after he couldn’t under his own power. He was nearly immediately ruled out of the game, which is hardly ever a good sign. Head coach Robert Saleh called the initial diagnosis “not good,” a brutal blow to both the Jets and Hall, who was off to a strong start in his rookie season.
Mike Williams sprains ankle, will test further
According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, WR Mike Williams suffered a sprain to his right ankle. He will undergo further testing on Monday to determine the severity.
Fantasy Impact
Williams left the game prematurely with an apparent leg injury. A sprain could mean a lot of different timetables, so Monday will be important for knowing how long Williams will be out. In his absence, WR Keenan Allen, who just returned from his own injury, will likely see an increase in workload, and WRs Josh Palmer and DeAndre Carter will continue to see more usage. As well, RB Austin Ekeler can be counted on to continue being a target monster.
