Fantasy Football Injury Updates

DJ Moore (ankle) optimistic to play in Week 15

The ankle injury that DJ Moore sustained in Week 14 is reportedly not considered to be serious and there is optimism that he will be ready to go for Week 15.

Fantasy Impact

There were some reports that Moore was dealing with a knee injury, but it turns out it is an ankle injury and shouldn’t keep him out for long. The wideout practically disappeared last week and that combined with this injury that could linger makes him tough to trust heading into the fantasy football playoffs. Keep an eye on his practice status for the rest of the week.

Trevor Lawrence (toe) not seen at practice Wednesday

Trevor Lawrence was not seen at practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Lawrence also missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday last week, so he still has a chance to play on Sunday against the Cowboys. His status will have to be monitored at practice on Thursday and Friday.

Tyler Huntley (concussion) practices Wednesday, trending toward playing

Tyler Huntley practiced again on Wednesday and is trending towards starting on Sunday against the Browns.

Fantasy Impact

Huntley appears to be on track to starting on Sunday barring any setbacks. He will have to practice again on Thursday and Friday, so his status will still have to be monitored those days.

Darren Waller (hamstring) designated to return Wednesday

Darren Waller has been designated to return from injured reserve and will practice on Wednesday, per head coach Josh McDaniels.

Fantasy Impact

Waller has not played since Week 4, and it looks like he is on track to play on Sunday versus the Patriots. It’s tough to predict his fantasy outlook heading into Sunday, as whether or not he will be limited will likely depend on his practice status to finish out the week. Regardless, Derek Carr now has another weapon to throw to that may draw some defensive attention away from Davante Adams. Keep an eye on Waller’s practice status to end the week.
