Nick Martinez gets lit up by the Indians Wednesday

Nick Martinez, auditioning for one-of-two spots in the Rangers' starting rotation to begin the year, was hammered by the Indians Wednesday afternoon. Over 2 2/3 innings, he allowed 9 hits and seven runs (all earned) while walking one and striking out two. He now carries a bloated 23.63 ERA this spring.
Fantasy Impact:
With Tyson Ross on the shelf until May and Andrew Cashner behind in preparation, the Rangers are getting desperate for two pitchers to step up and contribute. It hasn't looked very promising thus far but the jury is still out.
