Fantasy Impact:
Although an official transaction has not yet been made, Cotton is expected to take Sean Manaea's spot in the rotation tomorrow. He'd struggled to a 3-4 record with a 5.68 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP with 35 strikeouts and 16 walks in 38 innings of work leading to his demotion to Triple-A Nashville. The A's hope he can deliver the same quality pitching he showed in brief work as a rookie when he went 2-0 with a 2.15 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 23 strikeouts across 29 1/3 innings.
