Jose Bautista had another quiet day at the plate on Thursday, going 1-for-5 with a run scored and a strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
Bautista's huge May feels like a distant memory at this point -- and he's hit at or below the Mendoza line in April, June, and now July. The signs of decline have been clear over the last two seasons, particularly his rising strikeout rate. It wouldn't be a shock to see Bautista heat up again -- maybe a trade could inspire him -- but fantasy owners simply can't count on him anymore.
