This is seemingly good news for Zach Britton owners, as the Dodgers reportedly viewed Watson as a fallback to Britton, and Britton (like Watson) would have become a setup man with the Dodgers. There are reports that the Dodgers are still attempting to acquire Britton despite the Watson trade, so owners are not in the clear yet.
