Jaime Garcia

Jaime Garcia cannot go deep

by Chris Zolli | Wed, Aug 30th 3:47pm EDT

Jaime Garcia allowed two runs (one run) on six hits in five innings against the Indians on Wednesday. Garcia struck out five batters and walked three, failing to top six innings pitched for the fifth consecutive start. He has a 4.43 ERA this season and will face the Orioles in Baltimore on September 4.

Fantasy Impact:

This was Garcia's best start for the Yankees, but that is not saying much, as he has a 5.11 ERA in 24 2/3 innings with New York. He has walked at least three batters in each of his last six starts and has 60 walks in 144 1/3 innings this season. Current Orioles batters only have 20 at-bats against Garcia and Welington Castillo is 3-for-11 with two doubles.
