Dustin Pedroia went 2-for-2 on Saturday night vs the Rays. He hit a two-run homer, a single, drew two walks, and scored two runs. Pedroia was lifted in the fifth inning to rest his knee as the Red Sox were up by nine runs.
Fantasy Impact:
Pedroia was his vintage self at the plate on Saturday night. He displayed patience, solid contact, and a little power. The highlight of his night was when he drove a ball over the Green Monster in the first inning to deliver his seventh home run of the year. Pedroia has been coming out of ball games early to prevent further injury to his knee, so he's not a strong fantasy option at the moment. Still, with production like tonight's Pedroia could help out any team.
