Clay Buchholz allows one run in minor league start

by Michael Felner | Sun, Apr 29th 9:01am EDT

Clay Buchholz was signed by the Royals in late March, and the former Red Sox All-Star has made three minor league appearances for AAA-Omaha. He is 1-0 with a 1.12 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. Buchholz can opt out if he's not brought up to the majors by Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Buchholz, now 33, has had an up and down, injury-plagued career. His last fantasy relevant season was cut short five years ago, when he went 12-1 with a 1.74 ERA in 16 games for Boston. Until he gets called up and proves himself, he should remain on waivers.
