Alex Colome and Denard Span have been traded to the Seattle Mariners for prospects Tommy Romero and Andrew Moore. (Marc Topkin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Span got off to a hot start for the Rays but as they are rebuilding it does not make sense to have the 34-year old keep taking at-bats away from younger players. Span was and still is a fringe player to roster on your fantasy team, but if he can work out a starting role, atop the Mariners lineup, Span should give you a significant lift in runs and OBP (.364).
