David Freese went 0-for-3 with a strikeout against the Cubs in Monday’s loss.
Fantasy Impact:
Freese got the start at third base on Monday instead of Moran. He was unable to produce at the plate in a night where the Pirates struggled mightily. Freese is hitting .247/.310/.442 on the season with four home runs in limited playing time, so he has managed to be a decent fill in for the Pirates. However, his hard hit percentage has dropped significantly this season, and an extremely high home run to fly ball ratio has masked his contact issues.
