Greg Bird avoids arbitration with Yankees

Fantasy Impact:
Bird fell out of favor with Aaron Boone late last year and was benched for Luke Voit during the pennant chase and wild card round against Boston. He has the tools to be the left handed power bat they've searched for since Jason Giambi but, a lengthy injury history and past performance will make cracking the lineup difficult. A strong spring with an injury or two to a starter ahead of him could propel him right back into fantasy relevance.
