Jose Abreu to see more time at DH

Jose Abreu will split time with Yonder Alonso at 1B and DH this season. (CBS)

Fantasy Impact:

Manager Rick Renteria confirmed what we all knew. The signing of Alonso was seen more as bait to bring in Manny Machado. However, the move makes sense as Abreu played a career low 128 games after groin surgery and a thigh infection ended his season prematurely last year. Abreu turns 32 in a few days so time at DH gives him a better chance at staying healthy all year. Great bounce back candidate.
