Carlos Rodon recommended to undergo Tommy John surgery

A doctor has recommended that Carlos Rodon undergo Tommy John surgery on his injured elbow. The White Sox are awaiting a second opinion on the injury before making a decision on how to proceed. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The expectations were not positive when the injury initially occurred, so this isn't a huge surprise. It's still disappointing considering the promise Rodon has shown in the early going. The former top prospect will likely be shelved for the remainder of the season if the first opinion holds and into next season. If owners haven't already, they can move on from the left-hander.
