Joe Musgrove allowed six runs on nine hits over four innings in the Pirates' 6-5 loss to the Braves on Thursday. He walked two and struck out three while falling to 4-7.
Fantasy Impact:
Musgrove made this start on a quick turnaround because he last just four batters before being ejected on Monday. Perhaps the disruption in his routine threw him off, but it's tough to watch him get pounded like this with regularity. He has just one quality start in his last five outings, and has a 7.59 ERA since May 1. He's hard to trust right now, and only usable in the softest of matchups. Luckily, he gets a soft matchup next time out, home against Detroit on Tuesday.
