Jeff Samardzija improved to 4-6 on Friday in Arizona, giving up five runs on nine hits in six innings while striking out five and walking one.
Fantasy Impact:
The 34-year-old has been pretty average this season. He now has a 4.23 ERA on the year but isn't pitching deep into games. Combine that with the fact that he pitches for a bad team and Samardzija can be left on waiver wires for his next start versus the Rockies.
