Craig Kimbrel was officially recalled from Triple-A Iowa prior to Thursday's game against the Braves. (Chicago Cubs on Twitter)

Kimbrel's first major-league appearance is imminent now that he's joined the Cubs after a four-appearance conditioning stint in Triple-A. Given his track record and new contract, Kimbrel is immediately solidified as the Cubs' closer.
