A.J. Burnett set to 'empty the tank' in 2015

by Christopher Arndt | Sun, Mar 1st 7:11am EST

According to an MLB.com article, A.J. Burnett is expected to leave everything on the mound in 2015 as his 17-year career comes to an end. Depending on which Burnett takes the hill, this could mean big things for the Pirates. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

No one has ever questioned Burnett's talent or potential to be great, but an inconsistent career has lead to more than a few feeling he may have left something on the table. Burnett will be looking to duplicate his first season in Pittsburgh in 2012 when he posted a 16-10 record with a 3.51 ERA and recorded 180 strikeouts. Fantasy players have been frustrated with him for years as he seemingly goes from a front-line starter to someone who can barely find the strike zone depending on the season. If nothing else, count on Burnett to eat some innings this year, he logged almost 400 of them in his first two years as a Pirate.
