Cleveland pitcher Carlos Carrasco has "been backed up a few days due to mild elbow inflammation," according to a report from beat reporter Mandy Bell. However, manager Terry Francona seemed unconcerned and described the situation as maintenance. (Mandy Bell on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
After missing the bulk of the 2019 season due to a Leukemia diagnosis, expectations for Carrasco in 2020 are a bit all over the place. He has the track record of a hurler who struck out more than 200 batters in three of his last four seasons heading into 2019, but his 2019 season is enough to give many fantasy owners concerns. An early elbow issue will do nothing to ease those concerns.
