According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Padres are acquiring reliever Trevor Rosenthal from the Royals. The Royals are receiving two prospects in return. (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Rosenthal to the Padres makes sense since they lost closer Kirby Yates to a season-ending injury. Also, Drew Pomeranz hit the 10-day injured list recently, so the Padres are adding bullpen depth. With the Royals, Rosenthal recorded seven saves and 21 strikeouts in 13.2 innings.
