Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal pitched well in a 4-3 loss to the Twins on Saturday. Skubal allowed one run over six innings while striking out six and walking two.
Skubal escaped with a no-decision. The rookie hurler reportedly changed the grip on his changeup after his previous start in attempts to make it a more effective pitch. The early results certainly are encouraging as Saturday's start was the best of his short MLB career. Skubal will take a 4.70 ERA into his next start, which comes against the Cardinals.
