Brandon Woodruff tosses complete game in Game 1

Brandon Woodruff (2-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals. He picked up his fourth loss of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Burnes yielded a pair of solo homers to Tyler O'Neill and Brad Miller in the sixth inning. The Cardinals tacked on two more runs and Woodruff was saddled with the loss for Game 1. He threw a total of 88 pitches, landing 62 for strikes. The right-hander has allowed just three runs in his last 14 innings. Burnes owns a 3.45 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 72:15 K:BB across 60 innings in 2020. His next scheduled start is Tuesday against the Reds.
