Verlander “felt something” in his elbow during a simulated game on Wednesday and will need Tommy John surgery. He is expected to miss most of the 2021 campaign. Verlander will finish 2020 with a (1-0) record, 3.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and seven strikeouts over six innings.
