Mark Melancon blows second save Friday

by Mike Maher | Sat, Sep 26th 11:42am EDT

Braves closer Mark Melancon allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks while not recording any strikeouts over an inning of work while blowing a save against the Red Sox Friday. The blown save was his second of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Melancon has pitched well for the Braves this season despite striking out just 11 batters over 21 2/3 innings, but he had a rare stumble on Friday. For the year, the veteran reliever has a 2.49 ERA and 11 saves in 22 appearances.
