Walker Buehler whiffs eight in no-decision on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, Oct 7th 11:24am EDT

Walker Buehler took a no-decision on Tuesday when he allowed one run on two hits with eight strikeouts and four walks across four innings in the Dodgers win over the Padres in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite walking the bases-loaded in the second inning, Buehler made it through the first three innings without giving up a run. Austin Nola knocked an RBI single off of him in the fourth inning but that would be the only run the Padres would score all night. Buehler was lifted after it took him 95 pitches to get through his four innings of work; he still managed to whiff eight batters for the second time in two starts, though. The 26-year old is rocking a 3.38 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 16:6 K/BB ratio through eight playoff innings in 2020.
